What are the responsibilities and job description for the TPA Underwriting Specialist position at USI Holdings Corporation?
General Description :
Performs underwriting, quoting and customer service for assigned self insurance accounts that provide mono-line workers' compensation coverage. Duties include quoting, processing of audits and endorsements, policy issuance, certificate issuance and information reporting to various industry organizations. Also provides timely responses to policyholders questions and requests and provides resolution to policy problems and / or issues. Participates in group quarterly and annual board meetings as required. Works with a variety of staff including senior management, claims, finance and marketing to ensure a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities :
- Communicates with carriers, producers and marketing on prospects and existing accounts.
- Participates in SIG quarterly and annual board meetings and provides required Information for quarterly reports
- Maintain various databases and spreadsheets

Physical Demands :
Work is performed in a climate controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including; telephone - headset, Computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include; walking, sitting, standing, bending and fingering.
