Job Summary
This part-time position serves as an assistant
for the DuBard School for Language Disorders administrative team to help ensure that day-to-day operations
of the school office run smoothly. Also, provides service to any clients
or visitors and effectively communicate school policies and procedures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Adheres to University and department policies, procedures, and regulations. Assists with the daily operation of the school office. Answers the telephone, manages messages, disseminates information about DuBard School services, and scheduling through the online calendar. Receives referral case history information from parents of prospective students and other sources. Maintains the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Initiates preparation of required paperwork submissions to Mississippi Department of Education for the enrollment program. Manages parking permit registration for parents of enrollment and outclient students. Coordinates one fundraiser per year.
- Maintains and organizes ASHA CEU's and coordinates IMSLEC mailout for the DuBard School Professional Development program.
- Responsible for preparing thank you notes to donors. Facilitates ordering of engraved leaves for donor and Advisory Board trees.
- Scans a picture ID for all visitors through the Raptor check in system. Helps maintain safety and security of the building and occupants. Submits work requests to Physical Plant and maintains inventory for non-technology items.
- Coordinates meetings and organizes logistics throughout the year for administration, enrollment, outclient, and any other area needing assistance. Responsible for hospitality for guests. Maintains thorough knowledge of techniques, procedures, and equipment pertaining to the job.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
