Job Summary
The Graduate Programs Coordinator position exists to provide administrative support for the Associate Dean and faculty graduate program coordinators of the CBED graduate programs. The Graduate Programs Coordinator will work with the Dean, Associate Dean, and faculty program coordinators to identify needs and coordinate program processes (recruitment, advisement, advising, etc.).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides management support for Dean and Associate Dean: Works with Dean and Associate Dean to support faculty program coordinators in conducting program needs assessments, evaluations, and student surveys as appropriate; collects data from faculty program coordinators for AACSB BSQ and other surveys; prepares college reporting documents; determines GA allocations and hiring expectations/procedures; coordinates GA orientation. Coordinates graduate program operational processes to ensure effective and efficient college-wide functions; identifies areas of inefficiency and make recommendations for improvement; manages graduate assistant(s) and intern(s) (when allocated); markets available CBED GA positions; assists units (academic and non-academic) in the interview and selection process; manages GA orientation and maintain GA handbook.
- Provides administrative support for Associate Dean and Faculty program coordinators: Processes relevant forms and facilitates graduate school processes; maintains and reports data for rankings to relevant ranking lists. Supports faculty program coordinators in monitoring student progression, advisement, auditing graduation applications, maintaining student records and databases, and managing the student grade appeal process. Serves as the liaison with the Graduate School on processes and policies; ensure that graduate faculty and students are aware of, and in compliance with, policy.
- Provides academic support for CBED graduate students: Serves as initial point of contact for prospective CBED graduate students. Works with faculty program coordinators to facilitate application and onboarding processes. Coordinates and advises current and prospective students in the MBA Program. Supports academic and professional development of CBED graduate students; communicates deadlines and other pertinent program information to graduate students; mentors graduate students and serves as first point of contact for student concerns.
- Provides recruitment & retention support for CBED graduate programs: Supports faculty program coordinators in creating and implementing recruitment and retention plans as needed. Participates in College of Business and Economic Development recruiting efforts for graduate programs. Identifies/creates new recruitment and retention pathways; coordinates with faculty leads for targeted recruitment opportunities; provides marketing support for graduate programs; collaborates with stakeholders and University Communications to facilitate the design and implementation of targeted program materials that meet brand guidelines and messaging objectives; increase engagement (social media, events, collaborations); stays informed on industry marketing trends and standards; composes press releases and other communication efforts.
