Job Summary
Serves as a temporary, full-time informal teacher for K-12 summer camp students. Counselors help implement basic content knowledge and skills in marine and aquatic sciences to stimulate an appreciation for Gulf resources.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall safety of all students and staff within the group.
- Facilitates all weekly activities and teaches daily concepts in the classroom and while on off-campus field trips.
- Be able to work effectively with children at all levels and ages.
- Carry out the registration process (i.e. collect forms, interact with parents/guardians, and perform daily sign-in/sign-out processes).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
