Job Summary:
We are seeking a RN Charge Nurse to join our team at USPI. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising Operating Room staff, coordinating daily case scheduling, and preparing monthly call schedules.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise Operating Room staff to ensure a smooth flow of cases
- Coordinate daily case scheduling with other staff members
- Prepare monthly call schedules and coordinate Operating Room staff meetings
- Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve issues and provide efficient case flow
- Order instruments and equipment for cases
- Coordinate inventory quarterly in all areas of the Operating Room
- Assist with Operating Room education by coordinating and/or giving in-services
- Prepare schedules for next day and supervise evening shift
Requirements:
- Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing
- Baccalaureate degree preferred or work-related experience
- Three years of experience in surgery
- Supervisory experience of at least 1-2 years preferred
- Current CA RN License
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
