What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registration Clerk position at USPI?
USPI Platinum Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Registration Clerk to join our team. We have 6 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, Gastro, Anesthesiology, ENT, Pedi Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Oral, OB/GYN. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.
Job Summary: The Registration Clerk interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff. Admit patients and process their paperwork. Update patient demographics/information in system. Collect monies due and document in billing system. Handle funds per office procedure. You have the opportunity to meet new people and build professional relationships with physician offices. Cross training for other Business Office positions a possibility.

Required Skills:
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One-year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
- Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties.
- Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
- Bilingual preferred.
- Good communication skills.
