Job Description & Duties:
- The primary function of this position is to support the electrical engineering efforts of the company, under the supervision of the Sr. Electrical Engineer, responsible for electrical engineering throughout all phases of a project.
- Work with the design team to ensure that established project deadlines and budgets are met.
- Maintain a high quality of work and ensure all direction has been followed and coordinated throughout the project documents.
- Maintain NCEES Record and electrical Professional Engineering registrations in MA, NH, CT, and RI and FE/EIT certification.
- Conceptualize, design, and oversee construction of building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, communications, security and fire alarm systems.
- Create detailed Construction Documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Perform load calculations using EasyPower.
- Develop construction cost estimates.
- Coordinate design with architectural, civil, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection engineers.
- Work with the Project Manager to provide construction administration services for electrical work.
- Work with the Sr. Electrical Engineer and drafters to update and maintain the electrical AutoCAD library.
- Coordinate with the Senior Staff to ensure latest design resources, such as codes, reference materials and standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Candidates need to have an FE/EIT certification from an ABET accredited school.
- Candidates must be experienced in Commercial Building Services.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Bluebeam.
