Senior Human Resources Representative Position
Located in Greenlawn, New York
Duration: Six-Month Contract
Job Description:
- Supports a workforce of over 1,400 non-unionized employees across various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, program management, and functional resources.
- BUILDING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with management and employees to provide guidance and counsel on employee-related matters, serving as an advocate for employees and a coach to leaders.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data and insights to assess site climate and implement short- and long-term HR initiatives, in partnership with HR Business Partners and local leadership, to mitigate risks and improve business performance.
- Performance Management: Manage performance improvement plans, grievances, claims, investigations, and terminations, in partnership with HR Business Partners, Legal, Ethics, Security, and other key stakeholders.
- Leadership Development: Coach leaders on performance management, inclusion, change management, and other actions to improve organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
- Collaboration: Work with the broader HR network (HR Business Partners, Talent Management, DEI, HR Analytics) to develop and deploy strategies that address site needs.
- Process Improvement: Leverage process improvement/lean manufacturing tools and methodology to align with business needs; seek new innovative ways to automate and streamline HR processes.
- Special Projects: Lead and support special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Complex Investigations and Organizational Diagnostics: Must have strong experience in complex investigations, organizational diagnostic skills, and developing creative solutions to work environment challenges.
- Labor Laws: Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Leader Development: Must have experience in coaching and developing leaders.
- Influence and Relationships: Must have the ability to build relationships and influence.
- Educational Background and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6 years of experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
