UST’s telecommunications is looking for Solution Architect – XR (for Unity Design and Dev) Leverage expertise in a technology area and responsible for Architecture for mid to large projects. Experience in creating custom AR and VR experiences for enterprise use cases. Design and develop the framework; be the technical owner for the project.

Role Location: Washington
Compensation Range: $108,000-$163,000
Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

You Are

The Opportunity
- Hybrid: In-office/remote
- Prepare architecture and design documents.
- Evaluate technology options and recommend the technology stack.
- Collaborate with the architect community for reviews and solutioning.
- Guide / mentor developers to achieve their tasks in a timely manner.
- Participate in peer reviews.
- Participate in technology discussions with customer stakeholders.
- Write well-documented, reusable code in C , C#, or other languages as necessary.
- Investigate new and emerging technologies, innovations and opportunities.
- Evaluate feasibility of ideas by developing Proof of Concepts.
What You Need
- Familiarity with standard AR and VR hardware, software, best practices, and design patterns.
- Ability to understand and apply 2D and 3D mathematical concepts (linear algebra, matrix multiplication, quaternions, etc.).
- Knowledge of game engine concepts such as lighting, shaders, materials, meshes, scripting, etc.
- History of working collaboratively on multi-person teams with source control and (ideally)issue tracking.
- Creativity in finding solutions to abstract design problems, particularly with respect to translating real-world concepts and interactions into VR.
- UI/UX ability and experience a plus
