The Head Tennis Professional plans and manages all the operations and programs at Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach Tennis facility.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the daily management of the tennis facility and required maintenance, ensures all USTA Florida section quality standards and guidelines are met/followed
- Manages facility staff and all duties related to hiring, training and developing in accordance with USTA Florida section goals and objectives
- Responsible for ensuring all tennis and pickleball programs, events, lessons, and activities are administered with high standards and attract and maintain participation
- Manages facility budget, including reporting daily revenues and expenses
- Becomes adept on the use of USTA Florida Section software, policies and procedures
- Promotes facility programs throughout the local business community and ensures excellent customer service that results in a high level of participant satisfaction
- Creates and produces content for marketing and social media purposes to increase brand awareness within the local community, guidelines set by the USTA Marketing department
- Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and related experience
- Three years of experience as Head Tennis Professional at a similar size tennis facility
- One year of supervisor/management experience preferred
- Three years of customer service experience in a similar environment
- USPTA (Elite Pro preferred), IPTPA or PTR/PBR Certification
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver license and a record that meets our company’s insurance standards
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 platforms, including the One Drive document sharing component
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must have a professional and positive attitude
- Must have the ability to travel
- Must be able to pass the USTA Safe Play and USTA FL Section background checks, as well as a drug test
- Must be able to participate in potentially strenuous physical activity
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of USTA Florida section programs preferred
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certified preferred
- Strong delegation and training skills
- Strong attention to detail that results in a first-class showcase tennis facility
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Creative thinker and problem solver
Work Environment
- Frequently works in and outdoors – exposed to weather conditions
- Noise levels are moderate to high
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and split shifts
Physical Demands
- Medium - 20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds periodically
- Plays in tennis games or fills in as needed
- Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, uses hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Occasionally sits.
