The Role
The Director of Procurement and Accounts Payable is responsible for optimizing all aspects of procurement and accounts payable for the USTA and its affiliated companies. This position ensures the efficient and effective management of resources, drives cost savings, maintains compliance, and improves operational excellence across the organization. This role requires a highly organized, strategic, and detail-oriented leader.
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing:
- In collaboration with the Managing Director, develop and implement a comprehensive procurement vision and strategy for all expenditures.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across all categories and business units, driving cost savings and efficiency.
- Establish and manage procurement infrastructure, policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
- Identify and coordinate cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, including diversifying the vendor base.
- Integrate procurement activities with overall business strategy and planning.
- Oversee the implementation of standard methodologies, including technology enhancements, to optimize procurement processes.
- Market procurement activities and their benefits to internal stakeholders.
- Manage cost savings, compliance, and performance measurement processes to ensure targets are being met or exceeded.
- Oversee on-site travel services and implement cost-saving initiatives and technology enhancements in collaboration with the Sr. Manager.
- Supervise procurement staff – including training, guidance, and personal development.
Accounting, Accounts Payable and Tax-Related Items:
- Oversight of the Senior Manager of accounts payable department and be able to act as backup for department during vacations and sabbaticals.
- Oversee the implementation of industry standard methodologies, including technology enhancements and process improvements for efficiencies and effective controls for the accounts payable area and related tax filings for 1099’s/1042’s and other related filings.
- Assist in driving technology upgrades for a more effective and efficient department for AP systems, processing, and tax-related filings.
- Support when needed ACH setup and updates.
- Act as backup System Administrator for the JP Morgan Access bank program, ep3 reconciliations, etc…
- On a limited basis, be able to release emergency or international wires, drive oversight and efficiencies for credit card setup and compliance.
- Act as backup and reviewer for administration of JP Morgan Access bank accounts, taxport system for international tax withholdings, sales and use tax filings, 1099 filings, 1042 flings, and other filings as needed.
- Oversee or support audits as needed.
- Oversight of the Accounts payable department.
- Oversight of credit card setup and policy compliance.
Other Related Items:
- Lead and or support special projects as needed and or as they arise.
- Be cross-trained and be able to support peers across the team when peers are on sabbatical, vacation, or other related items.
Who You Are
- BA/BS and MBA, CPA or CMA preferred
- Experience in costs savings and process improvements
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Experience with ERP and technology systems
- 7 years of experience preferred including operational and finance
- Position is considered exempt
- This position is designated in Purchase, NY, at the Corporate HQ. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements as updated from time to time. Please consult HR for the most current policy.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $120,000 - $145,000 plus a potential ICP bonus of up to 10%.
This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
