What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counseling Referral Coordinator position at UT Dallas?
This position will provide direct communication and support to students who may be facing mental health, food / housing insecurity or other related basic needs. Some services provided will be counseling, education programs, on and off campus referrals and advocacy.
Minimum Education and Experience
Master's degree in social work, counseling or psychology. One year of experience with mental health case referrals.
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's degree in social work or other related field. Licensure preferred. One year of higher education working in a Counseling Center or other student support role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide basic mental health and wellbeing support to students referred to the Behavior Assessment and Intervention Team.
Services may include individual counseling, crisis intervention, consultation with students / staff / faculty / parents, and case management / referrals
Additional Information
Remote Notice : After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote / partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
