Under general supervision, responsible for recommending and implementing health education programs designed to increase awareness and knowledge related to the improvement of an individual, family or community basis.

Under general supervision, responsible for recommending and implementing health education programs designed to increase awareness and knowledge related to the improvement of an individual, family or community basis.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes and attends community events including health fair presentations and other small group educational activities.
- Assists in preparation of educational activities as needed for community and educational events.
- Collaborates with research faculty and staff in community-based research projects recruiting participants and providing services and education.
- Performs fieldwork recruiting participants, collecting data, and maintaining database.
- Travel to and from project sites (pay for mileage)
- Networks with community-serving organizations and clinics to promote partnerships.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Keeps abreast of changes in health care technology and shifts in health care emphasis to maintain timeliness and relevance of health education programs.
- Ability to connect with individuals, groups and stakeholders and gain trust in order to foster sharing and learning.
- Meticulous planning and organizational skills while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
- Certified Health Education Specialist certification preferred.
One (1) year related experience is required.
