Job Description
Under general supervision, responsible for providing advanced technical skills and supervision of work units in the operation and maintenance of equipment in the utility distribution systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the proper operation and monitoring of multiple building automation systems for alarms or conditions that adversely affect utility system performance.
- Inspects facilities and equipment for discrepancies, non-operational equipment or code violations.
- Operates utility system equipment in the most efficient, economical, and expedient manner.
- Creates, tracks, and manages work orders for progress and completion to include ordering parts, supplies and materials.
- Communicates with customers, co-workers and any other personnel involved in the solution.
- Assists with supervising the maintenance, repair, and installation of utility system equipment to include boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, compressors, vacuum pumps, water softeners, reverse osmosis units, steam systems, HVAC systems and chemical treatment systems.
- Performs water tests and analysis for cooling tower, boiler system, and other closed loop operations.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
