The Charles E. Cheever Jr. Center for Medical Humanities and Ethics (CMHE) at the University of Texas Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is seeking applicants for a fully funded Data Analyst position. The CMHE is dedicated to creating a compassionate, responsive, and empowered health workforce that applies ethical and humanitarian values to transform the future of health for all. The program emphasizes ethics, humanities, and global/community health education while facilitating interprofessional community-engaged learning with partners in San Antonio, South Texas, and around the world so that tomorrow’s healers can act with compassion and justice while developing their ability to appreciate, advocate for, and address the non-medical drivers of health. The CMHE is also home to Health Confianza, which is a community-wide health literacy initiative that provides education, workforce training, health information, and resources to the San Antonio area. Taken together, the CMHE’s unique blend of programs aim to create a future in which healers and communities can flourish together.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate with experience in public health, operational research, statistics, and data visualization to join our collaborative team of clinicians, educators, researchers, community health workers, and public health professionals who are dedicated to providing outstanding and innovative health professions education, implementing grant-funded community-based research, and organizing global and community outreach programs that aim to improve health for all.
The position provides opportunities to work with teams of students, faculty, staff, community partners, and community health workers engaged in collaborative research, clinical service, health professions education, and outreach programs. The candidate will work closely with the CMHE’s core faculty, staff, and partners to conduct both formative and summative analyses, create and maintain program evaluation databases, develop and facilitate evaluation training strategies, analyze data, and develop both programmatic reports and publications/abstracts for peer review.
The candidate will perform diverse data and administrative duties requiring sound judgment. The candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable accepting feedback and guidance from colleagues. The ability to work well in a team and excellent communication skills are a must. We look forward to working with you!
