Job Description:
This position requires a highly skilled Physician Assistant to provide advanced medical care in a surgical setting. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a surgeon, conducting complex patient procedures and managing pre-operative and post-operative patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts standardized patient care procedures requiring experience and specialized training.
- Assesses patient's medical complaints and provides appropriate treatment.
- Performs minor surgical procedures delegated by the supervising physician.
- Manages patient care in coordination with the faculty supervising physician.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree as a Physician Assistant, current Texas licensure, and certification from the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. Basic Life Support certification and proficiency in medical instruments are also required.
