Job Summary

Job Duties
This position works under close supervision to provide administrative functions to support the day-to-day operations of the community outreach function in the department. Maintains community data for catchment area. Assists in the development and/or promotion of various projects that further the mission of reducing health disparities via community outreach and engagement.
- Performs administrative functions to support departmental community outreach and engagement efforts. Duties include but not limited to procurement of materials and supplies, timekeeping, responsibility for meeting logistics, daily support of community inquires, and expense tracking.
- Maintains community data and contact information for catchment area. Responsible for development of tracking systems for community outreach as well as ongoing maintenance and metrics.
- Delivers informational/educational programs for patients, family members, and/or the public.
- Assists in building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with healthcare providers and other community partners.
- Supports and assists with patient recruitment for community outreach programs.
- Assists in development and/or promotion of various projects that further the mission of reducing health disparities via community outreach.
- Attends and represents organization at various health fairs and community events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in pre-health or public health related field
- or high school diploma
- or equivalent and 4 years of related experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to speak/read/write Spanish preferred.
