Kids & Teen's University is UTA's educational program for campers grades 1-12. Our camps are not your usual summer camp. We are a STEAM based program that offers camps that resemble more of a course. Campers can choose to come for our morning sessions from 9 AM- 12 PM or our afternoon sessions from 1 PM- 4PM. We offer a wide variety of camps that you can see here on our home page to learn more:

Job Description
This is a temporary on-site role for a Camp Instructor located in Arlington, TX. We are looking for a Teen Med Camp instructor to lead our Junior and Teen Med camps for middle and high school students. The dates of our camps will be listed below, all are required:
June 23 - June 27 9 AM to 12 PM Junior Med Camp (Grades 6-8)
June 23 - June 27 1 PM to 4 PM Teen Med Camp (Grades 9-12)
July 14 - July 18 1 PM to 4 PM Junior Med Camp (Grades 6-8)
July 21 - July 25 9 AM to 12 N Teen Med Camp Section 1 (Grades 8-12)
July 21 - July 25 1 PM to 4 PM Teen Med Camp Section 2 (Grades 8-12)
Who we are looking for
We are looking for strong classroom leaders with experience working with and teaching children. For our teen med camp instructor, we are looking for someone who can create an amazing camp experience for this medical field. Instructor will work with camp coordinator to create the lesson plans for the camps. Only 1 lesson plan is needed for Teen Med camp and 1 plan for Junior Med camp. Each time each camp is ran, it will be the exact same plan. 2 out of the 5 days, will include CPR certification and 1 field trip to the UTA Smart Hospital for the campers. Ideally, we would like our instructor to be able to teach CPR Certification to our campers. However, we do have a CPR instructor that will come in to teach the last 2 if Instructor is not able. (Pay will differ if not able to host CPR Certification testing).
Pay rate: Each session's pay rate is $450. Total pay for this position is $2,250 for a total of 5 sessions this summer.
Important to Note
- This is a 1099 position
- We are a net 30 institution, like most ISDs our invoices are paid 30 days from receiving.
Qualifications
-CPR Certified Preferred
- Experience working with children
- Strong classroom management skills
- Enthusiasm
-previous camp experience a plus
- Experience in teaching or tutoring
- Knowledge of special education practices
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques
- Understanding of childhood development stages
