Company Description
Kids & Teen's University is UTA's educational program for campers grades 1-12. Our camps are not your usual summer camp. We are a STEAM based program that offers camps that resemble more of a course. Campers can choose to come for our morning sessions from 9 AM- 12 PM or our afternoon sessions from 1 PM- 4PM. We offer a wide variety of camps that you can see here on our home page to learn more:

Job Description
This is a temporary on-site role for a Camp Instructor located in Arlington, TX. We are looking for instructors to lead our camps. Every camp comes with it's own unique curriculum. Below are the camps with dates that are still in need of an Instructor. Candidate can choose to do 1 or all, our instructors make their own schedule.
June 9- June 13 9 AM to 12 N Car Racers (Grades 3-5)
June 9- June 13 9 AM to 12 N Structural Engineering with K'NEX (Grades 3-5)
June 9- June 13 1 PM to 4 PM Sound Safari: Phonics Fun (Grades 1-2)

Who we are looking for
The majority of our instructors are current educators who work in the public education system. We are looking for strong classroom leaders with experience working with and teaching children. This individual must be familiar with techniques to engage campers and offer assistance in the classroom to provide an equal quality experience. We look for a motivated individual with the confidence to expertly lead a group of campers through our daily activities. Duties include being familiar with the provided lesson plans prior to the start of the camp to ensure each activity runs smoothly. Current educators are encouraged to apply.
Pay rate: $25-$30 based on teaching experience
Important to Note
- This is a 1099 position
- We are a net 30 institution, like most ISDs our invoices are paid 30 days from receiving.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- Strong classroom management skills
- Enthusiasm
-previous camp experience a plus
- Experience in teaching or tutoring
- Knowledge of special education practices
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques
- Understanding of childhood development stages
