Job Description
Senior Accountant Job Description
Responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures including month-end and year-end closings, Accounts Payable and Receivable, General Ledger account reconciliations, General Ledger entries, forecasting and budgeting. Must possess strong time management and analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities.
Responsibilities for Senior Accountant
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external auditors.
- Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the Accounting and Finance team or with other departments.
- Ensure all financial transactions within the company are accounted for and follow legal standards.
- Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred
- At least five years' experience in Accounting field
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information
- Knowledge of accounting processes and advanced mathematical skills
- Experience with financial reporting requirements
Additional Information
Remote work may be performed a maximum of 10 days per calendar month. However, the number of days should never exceed 3 days per week. This number of days is not cumulative and does not carry over from one month to the next.
Individuals requesting formal remote work arrangements must be employed with UTAC for a minimum of 30 days of continuous, regular employment and must have a satisfactory performance record.
