JOB DESCRIPTION : We are seeking an energetic, organized and self-motivated person to provide estimates and bids for our products and services for current and potential customers. This person will build and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers : preparing Traffic Control Plans (TCPs), selling products and services, and ensuring client satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS include :
Team Player : Ability and desire to work with others across the company, providing exceptional service to our customers, and helping the company grow.
Organizational Skills : Prioritize, organize and complete Bids, Quotes, TCPs, sales orders and follow up servicing with high quality results and within specified timelines every day.
Self-Motivation : Work independently, preparing TCPs, servicing customers, following up and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Traffic Control Experience / Certification : TCM Certification preferred
Sales Experience : Preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES include :
Construction project estimating required.
Prepare and provide Bids and Quotes
Utilize specialized software to develop Traffic Control Plans
Assist customers with plans, design, equipment needs, etc.
Identify and propose high quality solutions to ensure traffic safety
Pay close attention to detail and ensure quality in all work / tasks
Provide Traffic Control Services as needed
Other duties as assigned

Quality Estimates / Bids : Ensure Estimates / Bids are professional, timely, and complete. Verify every aspect of every bid.
Accurate Estimates / Bids : Ensure that every estimate / bid is 100% accurate, verifying every aspect of every bid before presenting it to the customer. Then, creating accurate sales orders, and ensuring jobs are complete when delivered.
Process Improvement : Continuously identify and implement ways to improve quality and productivity, and to reduce costs across the company
Pricing and Costs : Ensure costs are accurately built into all bids, and pricing is at the appropriate margins
Internet – Utilize the internet as required for job completion including : Navigating the Internet to find information, and send and retrieve electronic mail (e-mail).
Navigation - Using scroll bars, a mouse, and dialog boxes to work within the computer's operating system. Being able to access and switch between applications and files of interest.
Spreadsheets - Using a computer application to enter, data into spreadsheets and logs and to correctly save the files.
Word Processing - Using a computer application to type text, insert pictures, format, edit, print, save, and retrieve word processing documents
Identify all public and private opportunities to estimate and bid upcoming projects, and complete bids / estimates
Assess incoming requests for services and provide accurate, profitable, estimates
Consult with clients, offer expertise and experience to ensure safety, service and satisfaction
Develop and provide quality, accurate Traffic Control Plans, estimates and bids
Establish new and strengthen existing client relationships
Solidify and confirm payment plan on all jobs
Misc projects and support as needed
Actively seek and follow up on all estimating / bidding opportunities
Log all estimate / bid opportunities and track progress in the company CRM
Schedule and attend pre-construction meetings as appropriate with clients, including the Site Field Services Rep on large jobs
Maintain an understanding of industry trends, pricing, competitive practices, etc and share with the team
Partner with Dispatch as needed to schedule workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs
Obtain and maintain TCM certification
Maintain accurate, current client roster throughout the year
Ensure payments are timely and support collection efforts if necessary
Attend and complete Toolbox training meetings and any other safety training as required.
Provide Traffic Control Services as needed
Willingness to cover for Dispatch, UB inside sales assistance, or yard help with deliveries / pick ups, set ups / take downs - only as needed
