Utah First Credit Union is seeking a full-time, 40-hour a week Internal Auditor / Compliance Auditor at our Salt Lake City, UT office.
The ideal candidate for the Internal Auditor / Compliance Auditor position has a keen eye for details, the ability think analytically, can research and help resolve audit, accounting, or compliance issues that arise, and is passionate about fostering transparency and accountability. Ideal candidates are proficient in Excel and in organizing and analyzing data. They should be a self-starter with high initiative and be comfortable multitasking, associating with multiple departments, and working effectively with a little or a lot of direction. Internal audit experience at a bank, credit union, or accounting firm and a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field are required.
Internal Auditor / Compliance Auditor Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate operations and documentation for compliance with Board policies and federal regulations. Identify financial risks of the organization and offer recommendations to reduce risk. Communicate effectively to present findings and recommendations. Identify processes that can be improved. Work with other departments in a collaborative and respectful manner. Prioritize tasks while managing work on multiple audits simultaneously. This is an in-office position.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or prior correlated experience working in a financial institution. A working knowledge of accounting concepts with prior accounting experience preferred. Experience in application of accounting principles, strong PC skills, including Microsoft, Word, Excel, and strong problem-solving skills. Applicant must be at least 21 years old.
