Batch-Man & Cement Plant Facilities Manager 12/2024
Responsibilities:
This full-time position supports the Organizations Cement/Batch Plant and requires minimum of one year experience with concrete pours, concrete batching, knowledge of concrete requirements for difference applications, and will be responsible to:
- Batch ready-mix concrete to specifications for mix designs per job
- Control inventory of materials & reorder - pick up as necessary
- CDL License Class A or B desirable to drive our Semi's to pick up cement, rock, sand, water, etc for use at our batch plant, and also to drive Ready Mix truck when extra driver is needed.
- Oversee coordination of mixer trucks with the drivers for assigned jobs for on-time delivery
- Perform basic testing; slump/air
- Maintain records of test results
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Operate a computer using company assigned software, and operate other office equipment such as calculator, copy machine, document scanner, fax and telephones
- Troubleshoots to determine reason for problems or complaints and recommend solutions
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to get along with co-workers at all levels of the organization
- Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies, ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected, promotes a culture of safety and exhibits these behaviors adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas and a commitment to communicating and promoting safety
- Ability to initiate and keep records such as invoices, quality control documents, etc.
- Physically fit with ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, bending at the waist or neck, ability to keep work area clean
- Pass drug tests
- Reliable attendance required
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements
- Document and report inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) principles and practices
- Rate of start pay will be determined by your experience
