About the Position
This role involves producing radiographs of various body parts according to physician requests. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing Radiographs: Use an automatic processor to produce high-quality images.
- Patient Film Preparation: Prepare patient films for interpretation by radiologists.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure quality assurance on all radiological equipment.
- Patient Preparation: Assist patients in preparing for radiographic procedures.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
Certification and Skills
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- Current Licensure: A Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license from the Texas Medical Board.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist: Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an approved two-year program in Radiologic technology.
- Experience: None required.
Physical Requirements
This role requires:
- Up to 100 pounds occasionally: Move objects with moderate force.
- Up to 50 pounds frequently: Move objects with regular frequency.
- Up to 20 pounds constantly: Maintain posture and movement throughout the workday.
