Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on water utility system, including pumps, valves, and treatment systems.
- Diagnose and repair minor mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Monitor and maintain water quality and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and system failures.
- Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute maintenance schedules and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of treatment activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Operate basic maintenance equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner (including lawn equipment, shovels, ladders, etc.).
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Some experience in maintenance, plumbing, or a related field.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs at least waist high.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
- Valid driver’s license, clean drug screening and clean background check.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of water utility systems and equipment.
- Technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Certification in water treatment or distribution (e.g., State or National certification).
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal water quality regulations.
