The primary duties of the Human Resources Assistant are as followed:
- Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
- Serving as a point of contact for employee concerns, needs, and questions
- Assists in maintaining confidential personnel files and personnel actions
- Assists with timecard activity and payroll tasks
- Sending and collecting timesheets provided by accounting to each employee on a bi-weekly basis
- Assign Company Property by documenting within ADP and Asset Cloud
- Assists with distributing and collecting HR forms internally and externally
- Compiling reports and preparing spreadsheets
- Setting appointments and arranging meetings as needed
- Participating in recruitment efforts and scheduling job interviews
- Ensuring background and reference checks are completed
- Preparing new employee files and serves as a point person for new employee questions
- Orienting new employees to the organization (orientation, workstation, email address, etc.)
- Maintain ADP Total Source by updating and entering data as needed
- Assist with company insurance need
- Assisting with processing of terminations
- Processes out of office notifications and posts to company calendar
- Creates meeting presentations and helps facilitate internal meetings
- Creates and distributes meeting minutes
- Helps with employee recognition programs and company event planning
- Coordinates employee onboarding for contractor access
- Assisting with the preparation of the performance review process
- Acts as a member of the Safety Committee
- Making photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
- Performs all essential and confidential functions at UDS Inc. worksite only
- Serve as a backup to the receptionists when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Your Must Haves:
- Accuracy and attention to detail is required
- Experience of 1-2 years in HR or related field
- Experience with processing and keeping confidential records and information
- Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees and management teams
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Your Nice to Haves:
- Experience with ADP Total Source a strong plus
- Society for Human Resources Management certification
Work Environment:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
