Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Corporate Facilities Director to join our team. Reporting to EVP Manufacturing, this role is responsible for overseeing Facilities Maintenance and systems of all company owned and managed assets. These assets include 100 properties across multiple states and a fleet of vehicles. Property asset types include office buildings and distribution centers.
*This is a hybrid position with up to 50% travel nationwide.
Responsibilities:
- Management of Service Request intake and work order management, delegation of work, and tracking of completion.
- Review and approve estimates, purchase orders, invoices, pay apps, and lien releases on a daily basis.
- Contract negotiations for facilities related scopes. For example, Building Maintenance, Fire Systems Maintenance, and Monitoring.
- Verify all work is completed to a satisfactory level.
- Apply for Permits, attend inspections with local government agencies.
- Oversee annual facilities site audits.
- Responsible for budgeting annual capital projects and maintenance spend and recommending annual and long-term Capital plan for each site.
- Provide direction for 3rd Party and In-House Preventative Maintenance Plans.
- Work with Purchasing and Operations teams to RFP and contract service-related vendors leveraging our national footprint. Examples include Landscaping, Fire Systems, Roofing, HVAC, and Parking Lot Maintenance.
- Develop and oversee scheduling and deployment of required inspections for Fire Safety Systems.
- Provide support during company development activities including acquisitions, dispositions, and new builds.
- Prepare assets for natural disasters and emergencies.
- Setup project management tracking for execution of approved budgeted projects.
- Source appropriate vendors and trades in all regions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in business administration, facilities management, supply chain, is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7-10 years management experience of a multi-site property portfolio.
- 5-7 years supervisory experience.
- Background in electrical and mechanical maintenance and operations of commercial properties.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air conditioning, and kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of building management systems and work order software.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word) and internet online reporting; skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.

- Responsible to follow all safety rules and work safely at all times.
- Responsible to identify and resolve any safety issues with plant leadership team.
- Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices and SQF standards.
- Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.

- Fast-paced environment that requires organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
