JOB TITLE:   

Accounting Internship, UW Foundation

JOB PURPOSE:   

This position supports the accounting team during the Spring of 2025 with a focus on contributing to various special projects within the accounting department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, aiding with accounts payable processes, assisting with the creation and implementation of training programs, assisting in the development and enhancement of reports and forms, supporting tax-related research projects, and performing data entry and document scanning tasks. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in multiple areas of accounting while building valuable skills in a collaborative and professional environment. 

POSITION DETAILS:

• 15 hours a week beginning January 21, 2025, and ending May 16, 2025
• Pay is $16.50 per hour
• This internship will be in-person only at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Assist with the design and delivery of accounting-related training programs.
• Contribute to the preparation and review of reports and forms for internal and external use.
• Support tax-related projects, including data analysis and compliance tasks.
• Perform data entry and organize scanned documents for digital storage.
• Participate in ad hoc projects from other departments within the foundation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Minimum GPA requirement: 3.0
• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting/or a related field at the University of Wyoming

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
