JOB TITLE:
Outdoor Program Office Assistant
JOB PURPOSE:
About the Outdoor Program: As part of the Campus Recreation Department, the Outdoor Program helps recruit and retain students, faculty and staff by providing a wide range of inclusive, safe, reasonably priced, and accessible outdoor programs and services to the UW community. We expose and guide individuals in the natural environment, provide skill and leadership development opportunities, and facilitate peer to peer interactions and fun.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Job Functions:
• Provide high-quality customer service for the Outdoor Program o Rent a wide-variety of outdoor-related equipment
o Learn to outfit and set up participants with the appropriate gear for their adventures o Provide information on Outdoor Program offerings and services
• Maintain a clean maintenance area and rental inventory
o Clean and organize the maintenance and rental areas
o Clean and repair equipment as needed with professional staff guidance
o Assist with inventory and organization as needed
• Create a physically and emotionally safe, inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment within the Outdoor Program Office
o Work effectively with other students and Program Coordinators o Participate in staff meetings and trainings o Evaluate and assess your performance with Program Coordinators

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
University of Wyoming student
Start Fall 2025 Semester
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Interest in working in a position related to the outdoors and willingness to learn.
