JOB TITLE:
Help Desk Technician
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide front line tech support and online technical assistance. JFNTMP
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Possess excellent communication skills and critical thinking skills. Provide technical support by phone, email and chat.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Engage with knowledge base articles, and other resources as resources are required to assist with issue resolution.
- Follow up with customers to ensure full resolution of issues. Escalate issues to other technology teams when required. Assist supervisor to ensure Help Desk runs smoothly.
COMPETENCIES:
Customer Service, Working knowledge of consumer technology.
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customer sand requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: Customer Service
- Other requirements: Working knowledge of consumer technology
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Our Help Desk Techs are a critical part of providing quality IT services. The most important skills for a tech in any of the areas below is:
- Willingness to learn
- Communication, both verbal and written
- Motivation to take initiative to find resolutions for incoming requests
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, continually changing technology environment.
