Pay Range : $58,900.00 - $88,400.00 / year

At UW Health in northern Illinois, you will have :
POSITION SUMMARY :
Retrieves medical information for the CMS and Joint Commission National Hospital Quality Measures from patient records and for other Medical Staff Quality studies and enters into appropriate databases. Applies criteria for studies with up-to-date resources and clinical knowledge. Identifies significant variations and reports to Medical Staff committees, Leadership, and Nursing. Maintains current knowledge of specifications manual requirements for abstracting which results in publicly reported data for the organization. Educates medical staff and clinical staff. Performs chart audits for quality and safety initiatives.
EDUCATION / TRAINING :
Knowledge of Hospital treatments and testing for all the National Hospital Quality Measures (Core Measures). Knowledge of classifications of medications for assessing when criteria are met.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION :
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois required.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / ABILITIES :
Successful completion of job specific competencies. Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate well with all levels within the organization and community. Excellent verbal, written, organizational and critical decision-making skills required. Experience working with computer databases Excel spreadsheets, and word processing programs necessary. Ability to navigate the electronic health record. Demonstrates adaptability to learning new softwares, processes, and guidelines.
