Pay Range: $25.00/hr
Additional components of compensation may include:
- Evening, night and weekend shift differential
- Overtime
- On-call pay
Per Diem Staff will not be eligible to participate in any associate benefit plans sponsored by the Health System.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for teaching group and individual yoga or fitness instruction at various SAHS locations as assigned. Functions as a wellness resource for Health System and medical staff, insuring the delivery of coordinated and consistently excellent wellness services through a customer oriented process. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives. |
EDUCATION/TRAINING: Minimum: High School graduate or GED. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field. |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Certification in yoga teacher training or fitness teacher training from YOGAFIT, EXPERTRATING or other nationally recognized program. |
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must possess a passion for improving people’s health and well-being. Exceptional and demonstrable customer service and problem-solving skills. Experience with individual and group yoga or fitness instruction. Must possess a high comfort level interacting with diverse groups of people. Excellent communication, organization and critical-decision making skills required. Successful completion of annual job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. |
