POSITION SUMMARY:
Retrieves orders, coordinates surgeries with patients, providers, facilities and representatives. Schedules appointments, maintains/updates patient demographics and financial information as required. Coordinates with other providers as needed (surgical assists, vendors, Pediatricians and Hospitalists). Preauthorizes procedures, coordinates PCP clearances, and completes various forms of paperwork (pre authorizations, consent forms, family leave act paperwork).
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Previous experience in a customer service environment required. Computer skills required. Knowledge of OBGYN Services preferred.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal, written, organizational and critical decision making skills required. Must be able to read, write legibly and communicate effectively. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff within the organization, providers and community under varied conditions. Ability to operate a variety of general office equipment and use of a computer. Successful completion of annual job specific competencies and skills verification tools required. Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills as well as verbal and nonverbal communication using the AIDET method.
