Job Summary:

This appointment will be in the 2026-2027 Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Fellowship Program receiving advanced training in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

This position will always function as a trainee when performing cardiac MR interpretation and image-guided interventions (if performed during an elective).

There is the possibility that this position could be extended for one additional year.

Responsibilities:

The fellowship is housed in cardiovascular imaging section and focuses on providing advanced MRI and cardiovascular experience to the trainees with focus on (but not limited to) advanced MR techniques like 4D Flow imaging for the heart, aorta, liver, and kidneys. The position will often supervise and teach residents and medical students.

An additional component of this appointment outside of the fellowship is providing independent clinical services for the Department of Radiology as necessary and as assigned by the Department Chair. Work may be carried out at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Unitypoint Health-Meriter Hospital and/or other radiology outpatient or outreach sites and extended coverage areas as necessary.

  • 4 Year Residency in Radiology

License/Certification:

Required

MD - Physician - State Licensure

WI Medical License by start date.

Board Eligible or Board Certified by American Board of Radiology by start date.

Work Type:

Full or Part Time: 50% - 100%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Appointment Type, Duration:

Terminal, 12 month appointment.

This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Negotiable

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
