Job Summary:

This role will perform daytime studies investigating noninvasive brain stimulation and high density EEG recordings with cognitive tasks in healthy human research subjects.

Responsibilities: Develops, designs, and conducts one or more research projects and organizes daily operation of projects and specialized research areas to ensure work meets established objectives under moderate supervision.

  • 70% Conducts research experiments according to established research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s). Collects data and monitors test results
  • 10% Operates, cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and research area. Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders
  • 10% Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data and/or documents results for presentations and/or reporting to internal and external audiences
  • 10% Participates in the development, interpretation, and implementation of research methodology and materials

Qualifications:

  • Experience with human research subjects preferred.
  • Experience with EEG technology preferred.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work well on a team and maintain professional interactions with patients, caregivers, hospital staff, and research staff.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of research methodology.
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Redcap, Arrow, statistics software, perform electronic literature searchers, and use database software.

Knowledge/Skills Preferred:

  • Knowledge of University administrative policies and procedures as well as federal human subjects' protection regulations desirable.

Work Type:

Full Time: 100%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Appointment Type, Duration:

Terminal, 12 month appointment.

This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Salary:

Minimum $45,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

It is expected that this role must have Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) clearance within the first 30 days of hire.

University sponsorship is not available for this position, including transfers of sponsorship. The selected applicant will be responsible for ensuring their continuous eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without the need of an employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment.
