Must-Knows
- This is an 8-hour shift, Monday–Friday
- This position requires 100% full-time, on-site attendance in Pontiac, MI
- This is an accelerated position that puts you on the fast track to become a Senior Underwriter
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Collect, review and examine an applicant’s financial history and records
- Perform risk assessment reports
- Analyze client’s financial statements and identify effective alternatives to application
- Make loan approval decisions
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to investor guidelines, state and federal underwriting lending policies and the required documentation
- Keep up with changes and adaptations as they occur
- Provide elite service to internal and external clients
- Communicate with clients on loan conditions and statuses via phone or video message
- Manage multiple priorities while building rapport with clients
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Bachelor's degree with minimum 3.0 GPA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and other internet resources
