Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant to the Director of Pupil Personnel Services is a vital role that requires exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. As the primary point of contact for the office, you will be responsible for managing the flow of information, coordinating projects, and providing administrative support to the Director and other district personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Medicaid process, including claims and administrative activities.
  • Compile and maintain data records and databases for departmental, state, and federal reports.
  • Process special education documents, including IEPs, and coordinate transportation arrangements.
  • Maintain financial records, prepare requisitions and purchase orders, and assist with budget preparation.
  • Prepare correspondence, documentation, and out-of-district contracts.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and activities, and proofread materials for accuracy.
  • Maintain filing systems, handle phone calls, and order office supplies.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have an Associate's degree in Secretarial Science or a related field, and at least two years of experience in a secretarial position. Alternatively, you can have a high school diploma and four years of increasingly responsible secretarial experience. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
