Job Skills / Requirements
The Human Resources Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the operational excellence and ethical standards of V.O.K. Protective Services by managing all HR functions related to recruitment, onboarding, training, compliance, and employee relations. The HR Administrator ensures that all personnel, particularly security officers assigned to operations, meet the required professional, ethical, and regulatory standards, and that all certifications and credentials are current.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for all roles.
- Conduct vetting processes including background checks, credential verification (D-License, TWIC, TSA), and reference screening.
- Facilitate onboarding, including orientation on V.O.K.'s Code of Conduct, SOPs, and compliance protocols.
2. Training & Development
- Oversee the delivery of pre-deployment training at headquarters, including modules on CBP protocols, repatriation procedures, client expectations, and ethical conduct.
- Maintain a system for tracking certifications and ensure timely renewals.
- Coordinate annual refresher courses and ongoing professional development workshops.
3. Compliance & Records Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and industry-specific labor laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including credentials, training logs, performance evaluations, and incident reports.
- Support internal audits and documentation reviews as part of V.O.K.’s quality assurance framework.
4. Employee Relations
- Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Foster an ethical, transparent, and inclusive workplace aligned with V.O.K.’s core values of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Promote a speak-up culture and administer whistleblower protections in alignment with company policy.
5. Performance Monitoring & Recognition
- Partner with field supervisors and assistant operations managers to support performance reviews, ensuring ethical behavior and professional standards are recognized and rewarded.
- Collaborate on incentive programs for high-performing employees, particularly those who demonstrate exemplary client service and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in HR administration, preferably in the security, or law enforcement sectors.
- Strong understanding of labor law, certification requirements (e.g., TWIC, D-License), and workforce compliance.
- Proficient in HR information systems and training management software.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive personnel matters with discretion and integrity.
Preferred Attributes
- Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
- Familiarity with security industry SOPs
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred due to client and personnel diversity.
