Salary Range

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 annually. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.

Reporting Structure

The Sales Auditor reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

The Sales Auditor will support the Vince Retail Operations and Ecommerce teams by performing day-to-day sales audit functions and related accounting activities including month-end close and financial audits (e.g., year-end audits). The Sales Auditor will work closely with other accounting team members, as well as IT and retail store personnel.

• Reconcile retail store sales on a weekly basis
• Partner with retail stores and IT to investigate POS register variances and process corrected transactions where applicable
• Respond to chargeback requests on a weekly basis
• Report retail sales to stores’ respective landlords and pay percentage rent where required
• Record and reconcile international sales orders through Global-E platform and internal analysis
• Analyze and track gift cards to ensure proper revenue recognition; prepare quarterly roll forward
• Prepare monthly journal entries for sales, bank over/short, credit card fees, bad debt, clothing allowance and other items
• Perform monthly reconciliations of retail cash activity between bank & general ledger accounts
• Perform monthly reconciliations including credit card and gift card balances as well as other items
• Support our year-end financial audit
• Assist with special projects and research on an as needed basis

Qualifications/Experience We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Previous Sales Audit experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to perform critical analysis and thinking, prioritize and problem solve
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask with time sensitive constraints
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive individual who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environment
• Work effectively within the department and across departments
• Desire to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
• Prior experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Adyen and/or New Store preferred
• Strong background with Microsoft Excel particularly pivot tables, v-lookups, and sum-if functions
