What We Do / Project
The main function of a business analyst is to work across teams such as Marketing Product Research and Sales to gather and interpret data requirements. The business analyst will be responsible for using large datasets to find insights relevant to stakeholder objectives.
Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
Prepare materials to be presented to the stakeholders the design proposal and having acceptance criteria per the new projects and Statement of work that encompasses number of enhancements and / or for a specific project per discussion with the vendor and / or within MSC Product
Adjust Design proposal and Acceptance Criteria based on feedback and per discussions with business and Engineering
Memorialize design in Product Requirement document and create acceptance criteria and Test scripts per the spec.
Coordinating with the vendors / cross Product partners and users for details on the projects
Identify and escalate scope changes issues and risks
Documenting and maintaining new Project specs and accurate Acceptance criteria in JIRA and in a formal documentation
a. Review Product Requirement document and Acceptance criteria with the users and identify potential test scenarios and update acceptance criteria accordingly.
b. Based on stakeholder feedback discussing the updates with product (cross product) and / or the vendor and keeping documentation up to date.
c. Receiving signoff from stakeholders on Product Requirement document and Acceptance criteria.
Tracking the Sprint in JRA
a. Update JIRA board per the progress made ( Dev QA testing Bug reporting / tracking UAT release tracing)
Provide Application support
a. Review incoming tickets in SNOW
b. Reporting tickets to vendor.
c. Tracking the fix on tickets and testing
d. Coordinating with users on resolutions.
Document business requirements and translate them to technical requirements through stakeholder interviews data discovery and data analysis.
Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
Work with data and project management teams to determine feasibility and design validate data and ensure successful deliverables to stakeholders.
Test business processes and recommend improvements.
Create workflows reports dashboards and visualizations to help stakeholders understand business performance.
Identify automation opportunities.
WBD Project Manager will be reasonably available and provide Vendor resource with necessary guidance and goals.
Vendor personnel will perform services remotely for the duration of the project
WB will make available necessary SMEs for participation in meetings workshops Deliverable reviews and Deliverable signoff.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
1) Documentation Experience
a. Writing business requirements test scripts and use cases. 5Years
2) JIRA Expertise
a. Breaking down user stories analyzing usability etc.
3) QA / Testing
a. Identifying test scenarios testing newly developed tooling etc.
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements
1) Previous experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience a plus.
