Salesforce Consultant

The job description (JD) is for a Salesforce Technology Product Owner based in Columbia, MD (near Baltimore). This is a backfill position, meaning the candidate will be replacing someone who backed out. The role involves starting remotely for the first 6 months, after which the candidate will be required to be onsite 4 days a week once converted to full-time.

Key Details:

• Location: Maryland or Chicago, IL / PA/DC/VA (preferably within 60 miles of Columbia, MD).
• Duration: Remote for the first 6 months, then 4 days onsite once converted to full-time.
• Eligibility: Only US citizens, Green Card holders, or GC-EAD are eligible.

Required Skills:

• Salesforce Service Cloud (Backend) experience.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC) and modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience writing user stories and managing custom build-outs.
• Strong background in Salesforce Lightning, Sales Console, and Sales Cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the homescreen project, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Manage product backlog and prioritize features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, IT, customer service).
• Oversee the development and implementation of Salesforce solutions.
• Ensure integration with third-party systems and APIs.
• Utilize Agile methodologies for project timelines and deliverables.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with Salesforce features and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related fields (or equivalent work experience).
• 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role in Salesforce.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce platform, Sales Cloud, Lightning components, and Apex.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and managing a product backlog.
• Hands-on experience with data integrations and APIs within Salesforce.
• Familiarity with Salesforce AppExchange and third-party apps.
• Experience using tools like JIRA or Confluence.
