The job description (JD) is for a Salesforce Technology Product Owner based in Columbia, MD (near Baltimore). This is a backfill position, meaning the candidate will be replacing someone who backed out. The role involves starting remotely for the first 6 months, after which the candidate will be required to be onsite 4 days a week once converted to full-time.
Key Details:
- Location: Maryland or Chicago, IL / PA/DC/VA (preferably within 60 miles of Columbia, MD).
- Duration: Remote for the first 6 months, then 4 days onsite once converted to full-time.
- Eligibility: Only US citizens, Green Card holders, or GC-EAD are eligible.
Required Skills:
- Salesforce Service Cloud (Backend) experience.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC) and modern front-end frameworks.
- Experience writing user stories and managing custom build-outs.
- Strong background in Salesforce Lightning, Sales Console, and Sales Cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the homescreen project, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Manage product backlog and prioritize features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, IT, customer service).
- Oversee the development and implementation of Salesforce solutions.
- Ensure integration with third-party systems and APIs.
- Utilize Agile methodologies for project timelines and deliverables.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with Salesforce features and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related fields (or equivalent work experience).
- 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role in Salesforce.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform, Sales Cloud, Lightning components, and Apex.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and managing a product backlog.
- Hands-on experience with data integrations and APIs within Salesforce.
- Familiarity with Salesforce AppExchange and third-party apps.
- Experience using tools like JIRA or Confluence.
