Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on precision machined components using advanced measurement tools and equipment.
- Operate and program Zeiss Calypso software for CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections, including experience with Inspection Expert for streamlined programming and reporting.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Generate detailed inspection reports for medical and aerospace customers, adhering to industry standards and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain calibration records and ensure all measuring equipment is in proper working condition.
- Support quality assurance processes, including First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Zeiss Calypso software, including hands-on experience with Inspection Expert for efficient CMM programming and inspection workflows.
- Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, tools, and equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators).
- Familiarity with quality standards and reporting requirements for medical and aerospace industries.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with teams.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems is a plus.
