Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Naval Architect to lead vessel design projects, conduct structural and stability analyses, and oversee technical teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ship design, structural analysis, stability assessment, and marine engineering. This role requires leading design projects, managing technical teams, and ensuring the development of safe, efficient, and innovative marine vessels and structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop marine vessels, structures, and propulsion systems.
- Conduct structural, hydrodynamic, and stability analyses to meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and collaborate with shipyards and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical specifications, reports, and construction plans.
- Support vessel construction, sea trials, and integrate sustainability in designs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in ship design, stability analysis, and structural engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, or similar design tools.
- Knowledge of ABS, CFR, DNV, LR, and other classification society regulations.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to oversee designs from concept to delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FRP design, CFD, FEA, and marine propulsion systems.
- Background in both commercial vessels and yachts.
- Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and alternative fuels.
