President – Boating Industry

As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic President to lead the company into its next phase of success. This is an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence and shape the future of an organization.


Position Overview:


The President will be responsible for driving the corporate mission and vision to meet business objectives. This includes overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with deep experience in the boating or marine industry. Working closely with the plant operations team, you will develop and execute business strategies that drive success.


Key Responsibilities:


Business Development & Leadership

  • Build and lead a world-class team to achieve business objectives.
  • Foster a positive and innovative culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.


Operational Leadership

  • Oversee all company operations, including manufacturing, production, logistics, supply chain, sales, and customer service.
  • Ensure all operational systems run smoothly and efficiently to support business growth.


Strategy Development & Execution

  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to define and implement long-term strategies aligned with the company’s vision and objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the industry.


Process Improvement & Efficiency

  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.
  • Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and maximize profitability.


Financial Performance & Management

  • Manage the operational budget, optimize costs, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure the company meets or exceeds financial goals while maintaining operational excellence.


Product & Service Innovation

  • Drive product and service improvements that align with customer expectations and market trends.
  • Work closely with product development teams to maintain a competitive edge.


Regulatory Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all operations comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity and quality in all products and services.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in senior operations or management roles within the boating, marine, or related industries.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams while managing complex, multi-departmental operations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong business acumen with a track record of developing and executing successful strategic initiatives.
  • Operational Excellence: In-depth knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain management, and customer service best practices.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing complex budgets, optimizing costs, and tracking financial performance through key metrics.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the boating industry, including market trends, customer preferences, and regulatory considerations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
  • Travel: Generally less than 10%, with occasional overnight trips.
