This position provides clerical and administrative support to the Fulfillment Department, which includes Warehouse and Purchasing. This position also receives, inventories, and packages shipments ensuring accuracy and damage-free transport to destination. Provides general warehouse support including assembling kits, organizing, and cleaning. Operates under direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager.
Responsibilities
Major Job Activities :
Prepares, routes, and processes Project Change RequestsReviews, research, and codes vendor invoices for billing. Addresses discrepancies with applicable partiesVerifies shipping addresses and instructions with internal and external customersProcesses inventory transfers, Purchase Order receipts, and inventory returns in various systemsProvides updates regarding shipment status to internal and external customersMaintains electronic and hardcopy filing systems of purchasing- and shipment-related dataPrepare reports and documentation for meetingsPulls, stages, and packs equipment for shipment in accordance with project details and standard operating procedures, ensuring contents are accurate and adequately protected from damageUnpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with Warehouse Manager and Purchasing staff to rectify damages and shortagesCompare identifying information, counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify invoices, orders, and other recordsMarks or labels material with part numbers / bar coding for proper identification and places in designated storage areaDetermines appropriate method of shipment if not specified, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and ratesPrepares repair orders, commercial bills of landing, and other shipping documents as neededAssembles and packages installation kits in accordance with the bill of materialsAssists in loading and unloading delivery trucksAssists in the monthly physical inventory process and cycle counts when requiredOperates forklift (upon certification), pallet jacks, and other material handling equipmentMaintains the warehouse in a clean, neat, organized, and safe mannerServes as backup to Warehouse Administrative ClerkServes as backup to Warehouse ManagerPerforms other duties as requiredWorking Environment :
Familiarity with warehouse safety requirementsPhysical Activities :
Ability to work overtime as necessary; generally, up to 4 hours per week, 12 weeks per year; often the last week of each monthAbility to meet physical requirements including : a variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting and / or moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move more than 100 pounds, occasional climbing of ladders; usage of pallet jacks and forklift (with required certification)Qualifications
