Job Title: IT Security Analyst
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst to design, monitor, and optimize IT security concepts within cloud and classic data center environments. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the implementation of security best practices to protect our organization’s information systems.
Location:
This role can be performed remotely anywhere in the United States or Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Concept Implementation and Support:
- Design and manage IT security concepts aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Operate and maintain security solutions in cloud and traditional data center architectures.
- Collaborate on the development and optimization of IT security processes, architectures, and systems.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Evaluate and implement IT security requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct vulnerability management, including identifying weaknesses and implementing corrective measures.
- Plan and oversee penetration testing and audits, analyze results, and recommend countermeasures.
- Operational Monitoring and Incident Management:
- Analyze and evaluate security configurations, including firewall rules.
- Manage ITIL processes (e.g., incident, problem, and change management) to support secure operational environments.
- Collaboration and Advisory:
- Serve as a technical resource for internal teams regarding information security.
- Work closely with Service Managers on security design and procurement.
- Partner with the Information Security Officer to ensure effective security practices.
- Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver technical awareness initiatives such as "secure coding" or "server hardening" training.
- Reporting and Metrics:
- Provide regular reporting on security conditions, audit results, and recommendations to IT leadership.
- Prepare and present information security audit results and action plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in IT security or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and best practices.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools and penetration testing.
- Proficiency in ITIL processes and risk assessment methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with firewall configurations, cloud security solutions, and data center security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
- Experience in developing and implementing security awareness training programs.
- Familiarity with tools like SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanning tools, and compliance frameworks.
