Barrier Island Station, Duck NC is looking for you to be a part of our Front Desk team! We are seeking a motivated, friendly, customer service & detail oriented candidate who is looking to jump start or continue their career in the hospitality industry.
Full Time -Year-Round position available!! Full medical/dental and vision benefits available after 60 days of employment. Those benefits also include Paid Time Off, to be used for Sick and Vacation leave which you start accruing after first paycheck.
Must be available to work weekends in the summer season. Flexible scheduling offered for winter season.
We are looking for a front desk associate to help our front desk perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a member of our front office team, you will interact directly with Owners and guests from the time they arrive on the property until they depart. In addition, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, processing all guest arrivals and departures, and providing accurate information about the resort and surrounding area while delivering a personalized vacation experience for each Owner and guest. You will perform front-desk duties, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls, check in and out Owners and Guests, data entry of reservations. To be successful in this position, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is primarily a customer service role. Multitasking and self management skills are essential for this position. Ultimately, your duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
CORE WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Speak using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Assist management with daily reports and inbound arrivals
- Ensure efficient operation of the office environment
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of guests.
- Comply with quality assurance standards.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, and weekends.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Managers.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (i.e.. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
