What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resort Manager position at Vacationland Estates Resort?
The Resort Manager oversees all the operations of the resort. Job duties of the Resort Manager include reviewing finances, overseeing hiring, holding meetings with the facility's various department heads, greeting and interacting with resort guests, handling customer complaints and reporting to a board of directors.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintaining adequate staff in all departments: front office, housekeeping, and maintenance.
Maintain the finances of the resort.
Ensuring the comfort of guests.
Overseeing sales of units.
Advertising for sales and rentals.
Overseeing A/R Collections and small claims filing
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively to staff in all departments; housekeeping, front office, and maintenance.
Strong financial skills to ensure proper handling of the books and budgeting.
Perform all other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities:
Attention to detail and skilled organization.
Strong supervisory skills, and ability to designate responsibilities.
Ability to work effectively with all personality types.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to understand and carry out verbal & written instructions independently.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and nights as required.
Job Qualifications:
High School diploma or G.E.D certificate
Previous management/supervisory experience Experience with handling financial audits/preparing financial reports
Experience with Microsoft Office products, Quickbooks and Point of Sale systems
Leadership skills.
