Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Broken Arrow, OK - fully onsite
6-month Contract; $27-35/hour
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports. This individual ensures the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and supports organizational decision-making through timely and thorough financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries for general ledger accounts and document business transactions
Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and statements of cash flows
Prepare reports to summarize current and projected financial positions
Examine accounting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures
Establish, modify, and coordinate the implementation of accounting control procedures
Design and implement systems for general accounting processes
Prepare working papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries to support audit findings and recommendations
Complete ad hoc reports and support projects as needed
Exhibit professionalism and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to a collaborative team environment through idea sharing, problem-solving, and support
Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks
Maintain a high standard of attendance, punctuality, and work in a safe and alert manner
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior progressive experience is typically required to perform at this level
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
Knowledge of accounting systems and basic office equipment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interpret financial documents and work independently
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
Salary : $27 - $35
