What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Vaco by Highspring?
Vaco Richmond is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This individual will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and team oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of full-cycle AP experience or a recent degree in Accounting or a related field of study.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices,ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the accounting system.
- Maintain vendor and customer accounts, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
- Prepare and issue payments to vendors in a timely manner.
- Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receivereports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile vendor statements, and research and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in month-end closing processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and experienced with accounting ERP systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle vendor discrepancies effectively.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounts payable procedures.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
